IT significant Infosys' subsidiary is obtaining Singtel's delivery centre in MalaysiaNew Delhi: IT significant Infosys on Wednesday stated its subsidiary, Infosys Consulting, is acquiring Singtel's delivery centre in Malaysia.The expense of the deal is up to 6 million Singapore dollars, consisting of the value of net assets, subject to customary closing modifications , Infosys said in a regulative filing.
As part of a tactical collaboration, Infosys is obtaining 100 percent of the share capital of Singapore Telecommunications Limited's (Singtel) delivery centre in Malaysia - Global Business International Malaysia Sdn Bhd to bolster Infosys' presence in Malaysia, a tactical shipment and sales hub in South East Asia for global clients, it said.This move also lines up with Infosys' long-lasting strategy for communications, media, and technology (CMT) vertical including platform-led improvement of consumer and service experience for customers, it added.Incorporated in 2013, Global Business International Malaysia Sdn Bhd (GEIM) is a step-down subsidiary of Singtel and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It functions as a shipment centre to supply consumer experience and technology services to Singtel.
Its profits stood at 67.4 million Malaysian Ringgit in the fiscal ended March 2021.
